The notion of a Celtic bookstore is ironic because the Celts possessed an oral tradition rather than a written one; those records available were compiled either by conquering Romans or by converting Christian monks and therefore often have those biases. Still, people today interested in Celtic culture are using written material to rediscover this personal tradition of learning. Through such efforts and the diligence of secular scholars, the Celts are being uncovered and often incorporated into a contemporary framework.

The following are books that I have used as references for writing the articles on this site or just for fun and can therefore recommend. A short description follows each entry. The authors of these works are a few of the people attempting to piece together the remnants of a culture that once flooded Europe -- one that influences us even now.
