Bio

A member of the Romance Writers of America since 1997, Lisa Paitz Spindler lives in Maryland with her family and 25-pound black cat Nyx, who keeps her company while she writes. She's looking for a home for her recently completed science fiction novel, which won runner-up in the Golden Triangle Writers Guild conference contest. She's currently working on its sequel, which took Second Place in the From the Heart Romance Writers Golden Gateway contest. She also has a Scottish historical waiting for revisions.

Lisa studied Scottish Gaelic for two years and cofounded/moderated a Celtic mythology discussion list called the Celtic Well. Several of her articles on Celtic civilization can be found on the Celtic World web site.

Several of her articles on writing can be found in the writing section of this web site. In addition to writing, Lisa works as a web site designer and has a B.S. in Communications.

She started writing when she realized Princess Leia was never going to get her own light saber unless she gave her one herself, and stuck with it because it keeps her (mostly) sane.

For the latest developments, take a peek at her blog.
