Operation Heritage is fundraising effort of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) created to ensure a permanent presence for business aviation at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia. Official groundbreaking for the Udvar-Hazy Center took place on October 25, 2000, and the construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2003, the 100th anniversary of manned, powered flight.
